Halle Berry Makes Her Directorial Debut with BRUISED

Halle Berry, Hallllle Berry, made her directorial debut this year with her movie, Bruised, on Netflix. Halle stars as Jackie Justice, an MMA fighter who loses a big fight and becomes the laughing stock of the MMA world.

Years after her fall from grace she’s living with her alcoholic abusive man that’s also passing as her manager and completely engulfed in rage and feelings of unworthiness. She’s been in hiding but that all changes when she’s coerced into an underground fight where she shows just who Jackie really is. Unbeknownst to her a fight league promoter is watching and convinces her to begin training again. She meets “Bobbi” , her trainer and they begin to get her ready for the fight that’s sure to put her back in the spotlight!

We all know nothing comes easy, so when Jackie’s mom, played by the infamous Adriane Lenox, drops off Manny,  the son she gave up as an infant, we know life is just about to get interesting. 

This won’t be the last time you see Halle wearing her directorial crown. The academy award winner inked a Multi-Picture Feature Film Creative Partnership with Netflix so we will be seeing more of her work on the screen!

• You can learn to love again!
•  Don’t let anyone push you into doing something you don’t want to; Boundaries are important!
• Don’t rush your healing, you owe it to yourself to get whole on your own time.
