So The Voyeurs was an unexpectedly good watch. It started off pretty slow.. A couple, Pippa and Thomas, move into this beautiful apartment with huge open windows looking straight at another building with huge open windows. As any curious person would do, they start neighbor watching and come across a couple, Seb and Julia having “relations”. They are now fixated on this couple and want to know everything about them going as far as buying binoculars and sneaking into their halloween party to implant a mirror to bounce off a laser to hear what’s happening in the apartment.
The two quickly realize that this seemingly perfect couple is full of disaster. Seb is a professional photographer who likes to have his way with the models he shoots. He also gaslights and abuses his wife. Julia is suspicious of his activity but ultimately wants peace.
Pippa forms a relationship with Julia after she visits her place of work for an eye exam and now believes she would be a bad friend for not telling her about her husband’s affairs. Using a wireless printer she sends messages over to Julia tipping her off to a condom in the trash. Just when you think Julia is about to murder her husband they go to sleep for a blink and wake up to a death by self Julia.
Now everything prior to this is very slow and uneventful. The realllll drama starts now. Thomas is FURIOUS with Pippa blaming her for the sui* of Julia, he storms off. In some crazy twist of events Pippa thinks this is a great time to sleep with Seb and unbeknownst to her Thomas sees. She returns to her apartment to a dead Thomas. While she feels 100% guilty her best friend convinces her that nothing was her fault and she ultimately ends up at Sebs gallery opening only to find out she is the main attraction. IN A RIDICULOUSLY IMMACULATE PLOT TWISTS…Julia is not dead at all..In fact she and Seb have been watching her and Thomas the entire time. Snapping photos of Pippa naked, the couple moving in, watching them, crashing their party, planting the light, arguing, and even Thomas’s death all for the gallery visitors to see.

Now I believe the movie should have ended right there. Leave our jaws dropped to the floor but no…they had to make this trash ending that we just didn’t need. Seb and Julia do an interview about why they don’t believe what they did was cruel and the importance of reading ALL your contracts including the lease. Pippa figures out that Seb and Julia actually killed Thomas – which was a very rushed end of the movie plot twist that again wasn’t necessary. She gets revenge by burning their eyeballs so now they are both blind. The movie comes to a close with a new couple moving into Pippa and Thomas’s place and looking at the two blind people staring at them from the building across the way.
Once you get over that initial slow boring build the plot twist is worth the wait!
